“Les Corts de Cal Farrés” is an old farm building that after some fine restoration, has been turned into a country lodging, suitable for 4 to 5 people. In the restoration of the building we have tried to respect the traditional architectural character, looking for an equilibrium between a rustic authentic style, and that which is comfortable and functional. | |

Cal Farrés is an old house with lots of history, inside there are still the remains of an old tower and castle, documented back to the 11th century.
The property at present is dedicated to cattle farming and forestry and is part of the rural community of Aleny. |  |

The village of Aleny (20 people) is found at 600m altitude, on a hill surrounded by fields of grain and vegetables, woods of green oak, oak and pine. A quite jagged and wild terrain, where our family have for generations worked the land.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen,(microwave, oven, electric whisk, etc) fire place, TV, table games, small library, sink, washing machine, iron, etc. Furthermore in the basement there is a play room, and outside a patio with garden.

| At “les Corts de cal Farrés” you can enjoy the silence, and if you want, you can get to know how life on a farm works by participating in farming labours. |  |

From Aleny you can visit all corners of the Alta Anoia, making journeys by foot, bicycle, horse or car, visiting castles, Romanesque buildings, farmhouses and villages full of hidden places. Furthermore, its geographical situation makes it an ideal place to discover most of central Catalonia, if not all of it.

Less then 5 minutes away there is a regular bus service, trains, taxis, medical assistance, chemist, banks, municipal swimming pool, restaurants, tourist information, riding school, bicycle hire, etc.
